Lexie has her doctorate in marriage and family therapy from Brigham Young University. She plays at work and home, where she is the mother of two young boys. She specializes in work with children and their families, but also likes to help couples - the foundation of a healthy family. She uses a playful approach, informed by play therapy training. She also uses a trauma-informed approach, because so much of mental health stems from unacknowledged and unaddressed hurts and traumas experienced in our lives.
Outside of therapy, Lexie thrives on art - from sidewalk chalking to painting wall murals. She carries this into the therapy room where emotional processing sometimes needs experiences beyond talk therapy. She has training in art and sand tray therapy to help clients of all ages process their emotions at a deeper level.
