Our Therapy

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an approach to trauma treatment that uses eye movements to desensitize and change the way distressing memories are stored in the brain. Within 1 to 5 sessions, clients have noticed a difference in their distress levels.  As trained marriage therapists, we are prepared to deal with the complexity of couple relationships. Our therapy is informed by the Gottman method, as well as Emotion-focused couples therapy (EFT).  We understand that families are affected by and contribute to the individual mental health of children, teenagers and parents in the family. We would like to help everyone change together for the best individual AND family outcomes! Using an individualized combination of individual, family and co-parenting sessions, we help support everyone. We provide family therapy that is adapted to the level of the youngest family member. Family Play Therapy is an integration of play and family therapy, parents and older family members communicate with younger family members in engaging ways.  

 We also provide individual counseling. Even if you come in alone, we know that relationships are a big part of what you are going through. We are uniquely trained to use a relationship lens in helping you through individual challenges. 

 Developmentally, children express themselves through play rather than words. Play helps children work through trauma and cope with difficult circumstances. 

 Children, teenagers and adults benefit from sand tray therapy to miniaturize, contain and manipulate their problems (in the form of figurines in the sand). We aid self-reflection and working through subconscious aspects of the problem.
